The art of “Breaking even”

When I was in high school, one of the questions that scared me was “What was your rank in the quarterly exam?” (No one asked me did you get a rank, I really had an answer for this), in college it was “what is ur percentage?”, during my day job it was “How much have you saved until date?”, and now as a startup guy the question that really pisses me off is “Have you guys reached break-even?”. And it continues like

“not yet huh?”

me: “ya not yet…”

“still not yet huh…”

“yes man..not yet”

“when are you guys planning to?”

me: “don’t see it happening in the near future…”.

Though i don’t see breaking even with skechme.com in the near future, would like to share with you a paan- wala who proabably may break records by breaking-even in a month. This paan shop had a grand opening last week and from then whenever I have passed this shop, I see a mobĀ  surrounding this shop (I really donno whether they buy or not). If he goes at this rate, he is sure to break even in a month.
